Jilted Bride Helps Seniors

Great story on Chicago CBS Channel 2 News about a party we played for on Halloween. The groom got cold feet just 6 days before the wedding, and backed out. The bride and her family donated the entire party to the senior center across the street from the wedding venue.

Great Wedding on a Tight Budget? Yes!

Almost everyone’s budget is tighter than it was a few years ago. Just because you have a tight budget doesn’t mean your wedding can’t be beautiful and fun.  Often times it’s the exact opposite.

I’ve attached a link to an interesting article I saw on CNN/Oprah.com last week. It has some great ideas and thoughts, but I thought the *most* interesting part was at the extreme bottom of the article under “Sound Off”. These are the readers comments to the article, and there are a number of really great ideas there. Everyone’s situation and available resources are different, but the range of ideas there is quite impressive. Enjoy!

Which trends are hot, and which are not?

There are so many different add-ons and options available for weddings in the Chicago area now.  Some are brand new, and some old favorites.  Things like first dance mega-mix songs, photo booths, game shows, bag-o, room uplighting,  photo montages, curtain backdrops… did I miss anything?  Which ones would you have at your dream wedding, and which ones make you want to run away?
